Enabling
SMTP Authentication on Microsoft Outlook Express
When you use eWorkz's SMTP servers to send
out your e-mails, authentication is required to ensure that
you are an authorized user, using your e-mail account's username
and password. Listed below is a step-by-step guide to enabling
SMTP authentication on Microsoft Outlook Express.
1. In Microsoft
Outlook Express, select Tools and click on Accounts
on the menu bar.

2. Under
the Mail tab, you should be able to see your list of
e-mail accounts, select the e-mail account that has been created
for your virtual server and click on the Properties
button.

3. Click
on the checkbox, My server requires authentication
and click on the Settings button.
4. Select
the option, Use the same settings as my incoming mail server
and click on the OK button.
5. Congratulations!
Your e-mail account has been successfully configured to authenticate
with the SMTP server.
