FTP Account Setup (WS_FTP)

Your virtual server can be accessed via FTP. In order to access your virtual server, you have to install an FTP client which is available for download at shareware sites such as http://www.tucows.com or http://www.downloads.com.

In this case, we are going to use a popular FTP client, WS_FTP.

1. Install the FTP client.

2. Execute the program and click on the Connect button.

3. A screen shown below (Figure 1) wil appear. Click on the New button under the Session Properties window.

3. Fill in the session information as shown in the figure below. Replace the fields with the correct information as given in your Virtual Server Configuration.

4. Click on the OK button to login into the FTP server. Once you are logged in, you should see something like Figure 2 (shown below).

5. To transfer files from the local machine to your virtual server, select the files and click on the button. Click on the button to transfer files from your virtual server to the local machine.
